Anthem and Reatile Reach Financial Close on South Africa's Largest Solar PV Project

Independent Power Producer (IPP) Anthem together with equity partner Reatile Renewables, has reached financial close on the 475 MWac (620 MWdc) Notsi Solar PV Project, the largest single-phase solar photovoltaic project to commence construction in South Africa.

Valued at approximately US$490 million (R9 billion), the proeject will be developed in the Free State and is expected to generate 1.5 million MWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power approximately 140,000 households. Electricity will be supplied to commercial and industrial customers through a multi-offtaker wheeling arrangement across the national grid.
