Building Ontario Fund has committed US$129 Million (C$178 million) to acquire a 50% interest in Scarborough Junction, a major mixed-use development being led by Harlo Capital and Republic Developments on lands adjacent to the Scarborough GO Station. The investment enables Phase 1 to move forward, delivering approximately 1,700 purpose-built rental units, with at least 20% designated as affordable housing at City-mandated rent levels for a minimum of 40 years.
Once complete, the Scarborough Junction masterplan will comprise 14 mixed-use buildings between 19 and 58 storeys, delievring more than 7,700 new homes and over 200,000 square feet of commercial and retail space. The project also includes major upgrades to the Scarborough GO Station, alongside new parks, public spaces and community amenities.
