Federal High Court reinforces administrator supremacy in corporate restructuring


The Federal High Court, in a ruling delivered by Hon. Justice Alexander Owoeye on 26 January 2026 in Suit No. FHC/L/CS/2155/2025 – Ewhubare v. Sujimoto Holdings Limited and Suit No. FHC/L/CS/2154/2025 – Ewhubare v. Sujimoto Construction Limited, that suspended directors cannot interfere with corporate restructuring processes once an administrator has been lawfully appointed under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, strengthening Nigeria's business rescue regime.
