FMS Logistics Acquires CFT's International Commodities Shipping Business

CFT Corporation has completed the sale of its international commodities shipping business to FMS Logistics Ltd., a subsidiary of Germany-based global logistics group Fr. Meyer's Sohn (FMS). The transaction brings together CFT's longstanding expertise in international commodities shipping with FMS's 128-year logistics heritage and global network spanning more than 35 countries. Since 1987, CFT has supported exporters across North America with international shipping and comprehensive logistics solutions, building strong relationships within the commodities sector. The acquisition expands FMS's capabilities in commodities logistics while empowering the service offering available to customers across international markets. The combination is expected to generate operational synergies, broaden geographic reach and enhance end-to-end logistics solutions for commodity exporters and other global customers. The transaction underscores continued strategic consolidation in the international logistics sector and the growing importance of integrated global supply-chain capabilities.
