GeoPark Announces US$375 Million Acquisition of Frontera Energy's Colombian E&P Assets

GeoPark Limited has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Frontera Petroleum International Holdings B.V., comprising Fronters Energy's Oil and Gas exploration and production assets in Colombia, for US$375 million in cash, subject to customary closing adjustments. The transaction also includes up to US$375 million in cash, subject to customary closing adjustments. The transaction also includes up to U$25 million in additional consideration, contingent on the acheivement of specified development milestones.

The acquisition significantly strengthens GeoPark's position in Colombia and expands its portfolio of Larin American exploration and production assets. Notably, the transaction does not include Frontera Energy Corporation itself, its infrastructure assets or its exploration interests in Guyana. The cross-border transaction reflects continued strategic investment in Colombia's energy sector and GeoPark's focus on expanding its regional production platform.
