Groupe HD Secures Financing for 400-Unit Downtown Montreal Rental Development

An entity of Groupe HD has acquired the former YWCA building on Rene-Levesque Boulevard West in Montreal, with financing support from Federation des Caisses Desjardins du Quebec. The acquisition marks the first step in an ambitious residential rental development that will transform the downtown site into a 30-storey building comprising approximately 400 rental units, alongside a commercial component at ground level.

The project is expected to contribute to Montreal's growing supply of purpose-built rental house while adding new residential capacity in a strategically located part of the city. The transaction reflects continued investment in Montreal's urban real estate market and growing demand for high-quality rental accomodation in well-connected downtown locations.
