Harith and its affiliates have entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement to acquire FlySaFair, one of South Africa's leading low-cost airlines, in a transaction that remains subject to customary regulatory approvals, including clearance from the Competition Commission and relevant aviation authoorities.
The acquisition aligns with Harith's long-term infrastructure investment strategy, which focuses on empowering transport, logistics and connectivity across Africa.
Backed by more than US$3 billion in assets under management, Harith intends to provide long-term capital to support FlySaFair's continued growth while maintaining the airline's existing leadership and operational model.
The transaction follows a long-running shareholder exit process and reflects investor confidence in FlySafair's strong market position, operational performance and growth prospects. If approved, the acquisition is expected to reinforce South Africa's aviation infrastructure and improve regional connectivity through continued investment in affordable and reliable air travel.
