InfraCredit participated in the financing of Nigeria's first mesh-grid project under the Climate Finance Blending Facility, leveraging concessional funding from UK-backed climate finance institutions to support renewable energy access.
The CFBF, which provided the concessional capital for the deal, is a specialised facility initially seeded with £10 million from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and British International Investment (BII). DealHQ’s role was pivotal in ensuring the transaction aligned with the standards of the World Bank’s Distributed Access through Renewable Energy Scale-up (DARES) program, which is implemented by Nigeria’s Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
