Mulilo Achieves Financial Close on Middlepunt Solar PV Project

Mulilo has reached financial close on the 337MW Middlepunt Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project in South Africa's Free State, making it the first under the REIPPPP Bid Window 7 to achieve financial close. The project was also awarded at the lowest tariff in the bid window, reinforcing the growing affordability and competitiveness of utility-scale renewable energy.

Once operational, Middlepunt is expected to generate approximately 770GWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power around 325,000 households, while avoiding more than 813,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. The project will support the country's decarbonisation goals and demonstrating continued public and private sector investment in large-scale clean energy infrastructure.
