Northland Properties Acquires Full Rights to Denny's Canada

Northland Properties has acquired the trademarks, intellectual property, and exclusive rights to the Denny's brand in Canada, extending its 35-year relationship with the brand as Denny's longstanding Master Franchisor in the country. As part of the same transaction, Northland also took an equity position in Denny's Inc., the brand's global parent. Denny's Canada operates 85 restaurants nationally, including 57 Northland-owned locations and 28 franchised restaurants, emploting more than 3,500 people. Northland stated the acquisition gives it full control over Canadian operations, including menu development, restaurant growth, and investment decisions, while maintaining continuity for franchises, employees, and guests.
