Nigeria’s flagship Project BRIDGE is a US$2 billion fibre infrastructure initiative backed by the World Bank and other development finance institutions, aimed at expanding the country’s broadband backbone.

Project BRIDGE (Building Resilient Digital Infrastructure for Growth) is designed as a large-scale public-private partnership to deploy approximately 90,000 kilometres of fibre optic cable nationwide, targeting underserved and unserved areas while supporting Nigeria’s broader digital transformation agenda.

The World Bank-led programme has engaged a consortium of advisers, including Geneserve, FBNQuest Merchant Bank, and Bluechip Technologies, to support transaction structuring, financial advisory, and procurement strategy for the rollout.
