Transgrid Enerco acquires 60% controlling stake in Eko Electricity Distribution Company

Transgrid Enerco acquired a 60% controlling interest in Eko Electricity Distribution Plc from West Power & Gas Limited, marking one of Nigeria's most significant power sector privatization transactions.

The acquisition, undertaken by a consortium comprising North-South Power Company Limited, Axxela Limited, and the Stanbic IBTC Infrastructure Growth Fund, is expected to strengthen grid modernization and expand electricity distribution across Lagos and Ogun States.
